Overview

snapchat-plus.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as Snapchat+, the paid subscription tier of Snapchat. It targets Snapchat users who are looking to upgrade or unlock premium features. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

The page uses the title "Snapchat+" and Snapchat branding to look like an official upgrade or subscription offer. Pages of this type usually ask visitors to sign in with their Snapchat username and password, then request a one-time code or payment details to activate the supposed subscription. Anything typed into the form goes to the operators, not to Snapchat. Victims can lose control of their Snapchat account, private messages and contacts, and may face fraudulent card charges. A hijacked account is often used to send the same lure to the victim's friends.

Evidence

urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognized Snapchat as the brand being imitated. VirusTotal coverage is thin: on 2026-10-16 only 1 of 92 engines flagged the domain, and that engine was Gridinsoft. The domain appears on the PhishDestroy blocklist. Low antivirus detection is common for newly launched phishing pages and should not be read as a sign that the site is safe.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-29 through OVH, SAS, about seven weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. It resolves to 188.165.53.185 on the OVH SAS network in France. The site uses a TLS certificate issued by Let's Encrypt (YE1), so the padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered your Snapchat credentials on this site, change your Snapchat password immediately from the official app. Turn on two-factor authentication and review active sessions and linked devices. Change the same password anywhere else you have reused it, and warn friends not to trust unusual messages sent from your account. If you entered card details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at the DNS, proxy and email layers, and report it to Snapchat and the hosting provider for takedown.
