PhishDestroy threat report
puogax.com presented itself as "Puogax: Most Popular Online Crypto Casino Based on Blockchain". It targeted cryptocurrency holders looking for on-chain gambling, and PhishDestroy classifies it as a fraudulent gambling site. We first detected it on 2026-09-05. The site went offline on 2026-09-11, and on 2026-10-19 its DNS was still inactive.
Fake crypto casinos borrow the language of provably fair, blockchain-based betting to look trustworthy, then ask players to deposit coins to start playing. Balances often grow on screen, but withdrawals stall behind sudden "verification", tax or unlock fees. Each fee is another payment to the operators, and the original deposit is never returned. The "most popular" claim in the page title is the kind of unearned authority these schemes rely on, because a domain this new cannot have built a real player base.
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and tagged it as a cryptoscam. MetaMask's and SEAL's blocklists list it alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet-side warnings will reach many users who try to open it. VirusTotal coverage is modest: 4 of 90 engines flagged it on 2026-09-06, namely alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference the domain, which means other researchers tracked it independently.
The domain was registered on 2026-07-20 through Fewmoretaps OU, which does business as Trustname.com. It was flagged about seven weeks later and went dark within a week of detection, a short lifespan typical of disposable scam storefronts. Traffic ran through Cloudflare, with the address geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server stayed hidden behind the proxy.
If you deposited crypto on puogax.com, do not send any further "withdrawal", tax or verification fee. Those payments never release a balance. Save your transaction hashes, deposit addresses and any chat logs, then report the theft to the exchange your funds came from and to local cybercrime authorities. Ignore anyone who contacts you offering to recover the money for an upfront payment, because recovery scams target exactly this group. Defenders should keep the domain blocked even while it is offline and watch for the same Puogax branding reappearing on fresh domains.
