PhishDestroy threat report
ledgrstarted-io-lear.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page posing as Ledger, the hardware wallet maker. Its misspelled name echoes Ledger's own onboarding path, which makes it a trap for new device owners setting up their wallet. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-08. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still online and serving its content.
The page is titled "Why Choose Ledger for Custody of Crypto Assets," a polished marketing pitch meant to look like an official Ledger page. Fake Ledger setup sites like this one usually walk visitors through a bogus "getting started" flow. That flow ends with a request for the 24-word recovery phrase, or with an installer for a counterfeit Ledger app. Anyone who types their recovery phrase gives the attacker full control of the wallet. The funds can then be swept to the attacker's wallet with no device or PIN needed, and the theft cannot be reversed.
Detection by the big engines is still thin. On 2026-09-22, only 4 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the page: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and LevelBlue. Crypto-focused defenses are much clearer. The page is listed by PhishDestroy, MetaMask, SEAL and PhishFeed, and Spamhaus DBL lists it as a phishing domain. Because most general scanners still pass it, a clean result from your antivirus means little here.
The page runs on a free Cloudflare Pages subdomain created on 2026-08-28, eleven days before PhishDestroy caught it. It resolves to Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, and uses a Google Trust Services certificate. That means the browser shows a padlock, which proves nothing about who runs the site. Free hosting subdomains are cheap and quick to replace, so expect copies under similar names.
If you entered your Ledger recovery phrase on this page, treat that wallet as lost to the attacker. Set up a new wallet with a new phrase on a genuine device, then move any remaining funds there immediately. If you installed software from the page, remove it and scan the computer before using any wallet on it again. Only download Ledger software from Ledger's official site, and remember that Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase. Defenders should block the hostname and report it to Cloudflare's abuse team so the Pages project is taken down.
