PhishDestroy threat report
kaminovault.info is an impersonation phishing page built to look like Kamino, the DeFi lending and liquidity protocol. It targeted Kamino users and anyone hoping for a token allocation. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-14, one day after the domain was registered. The site has been offline since 2026-09-18, and as of 2026-10-19 its domain no longer resolves.
The page title, "Kamino Allocation Live | Claim Yield Portal", reveals the lure: an urgent, supposedly live allocation or yield payout that visitors must claim before it expires. Fake claim portals like this ask the visitor to connect a wallet and then present a transaction, signature or token approval dressed up as the claim step. Signing it gives the operators permission to move the victim's tokens, so the wallet is emptied instead of credited. Genuine protocol rewards do not arrive through lookalike domains like this one.
On 2026-09-17, 5 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is low, which is common for a phishing domain only a few days old, so most scanners would not have warned a visitor at the time. The stronger signal comes from wallet-focused blocklists. Besides PhishDestroy, both MetaMask and SEAL list the domain, so their protections would block it.
The domain was registered through Global Domain Group LLC on 2026-09-13 and was being tracked the following day. It went dark about five days after registration, a short lifespan typical of disposable phishing domains. Traffic ran through Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, which places the real origin server behind the proxy. The site's Google Trust Services certificate only means the connection was encrypted. The padlock said nothing about who ran the site.
If you connected a wallet to kaminovault.info and signed anything, use a token approval checker to revoke every permission granted to unfamiliar contracts. Then move your remaining funds to a new wallet, because a signed permit can still be exploited later. If you typed in a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as fully compromised and stop using it. Check any Kamino rewards only through the project's official channels. Defenders should block the domain and look in DNS and proxy logs for users who reached it between 2026-09-13 and 2026-09-18.
