instanders.org is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as an official download portal for Instander, a modified Instagram client for Android. Its page title reads "Download Instander Apk v18.0" to attract users searching for the app outside official stores. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-15. As of 2026-10-19 the site was alive and serving its content.
How the scam works
Pages like this rank for searches such as "Instander download" and copy the look of the real project so visitors trust them. The victim is offered an APK file to sideload, which bypasses the app store's vetting, so whatever the operator packages runs on the phone with the permissions the user grants. Fake builds of social media mods can harvest the Instagram login entered into the app, capture session data, or carry additional malware. The usual losses are a hijacked Instagram account and a compromised Android device.
