cookiebounty.com is on the PhishDestroy blocklist and presents itself as a Crumbl promotion: its page is titled "Crumbl – Claim Your $100 Gift Card." The domain name has no connection to the cookie chain, and its free-reward pitch targets people who know and like the brand. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-14. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content.
How the scam works
The page offers an unearned $100 gift card under a brand the site does not belong to. That pattern usually means the "reward" is bait. Sites like this typically ask visitors to claim the prize by entering their name, email, phone number or home address. Some go further and ask for card details to cover a small "processing" or "shipping" fee, or push visitors through survey and offer chains. The risk is giving personal or payment information to an operator posing as Crumbl, with no gift card at the end.
Evidence
Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was scanned on 2026-10-18. The vendors were alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a small but varied group, with reputation services and threat-intelligence feeds reaching the same verdict independently. Two AlienVault OTX community pulses also reference the domain. Coverage is still thin: most engines and public blocklists have not caught up, so many browsers and filters will not warn visitors yet.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-02-17 through Spaceship, Inc., nearly eight months before it surfaced as a Crumbl lure. That gap suggests it was registered in advance and put to use later. It sits behind Cloudflare, with the address geolocated to Canada, so the IP points to Cloudflare's network rather than the server that actually hosts the content.
What to do
