PhishDestroy threat report
com-access-backup.com is an impersonation phishing page. It poses as a legitimate account access or backup service so that visitors trust it with sensitive information. Listings by MetaMask and SEAL place it in the crypto threat landscape, so wallet users are the most likely targets. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-16, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was alive and redirecting visitors.
Impersonation sites copy the look and wording of a trusted service, then ask the visitor to sign in, restore access or back up their account. Whatever is typed in, whether passwords, one-time codes or a wallet recovery phrase, goes straight to the operators, who use it to take over the account or empty the wallet. The domain name, which looks like the start of a legitimate web address, is meant to pass a quick glance in a link or search result. The page currently displays the title "Success!", a generic confirmation message, while PhishDestroy classifies the site as impersonation phishing. Its live redirect can send visitors on to another page.
MetaMask's and SEAL's blocklists both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy. Spamhaus DBL lists it under its spam category, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses. VirusTotal detection is still low: 3 of 92 engines (CRDF, Fortinet and Gridinsoft) flagged it as of 2026-10-17. Because so few antivirus products catch it, it can slip past ordinary security tools.
The domain was registered on 2026-10-13 through CNOBIN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LIMITED, three days before PhishDestroy detected it. It is hosted at 104.194.158.243 on the RouterHosting LLC network, with the server located in Germany. Its TLS certificate comes from Let's Encrypt (YR2), so the padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted, not that the site is genuine.
Do not enter anything on com-access-backup.com, and close it if you land there. If you typed a password, change it at once on the real service and anywhere you reused it, then turn on two-factor authentication. If you entered a wallet recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet created with a fresh phrase. Security teams should block the domain and its IP at the DNS, proxy and email gateway level and search logs for visits since 2026-10-13.
