PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

bandb-autosales.com is an impersonation phishing site that PhishDestroy first detected on 2026-10-04. Its presence on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists places it among threats aimed at crypto wallet users. The page title reads "Welcome to Art Canvas: Analyze Paintings and Learn History," which matches neither the car-dealership domain name nor the phishing classification. The site has been offline since 2026-10-16 and was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Impersonation phishing pages copy the look of a trusted service so visitors believe they are on a legitimate site. The victim is then asked to log in, enter a recovery phrase or private key, or connect a wallet and approve a request. Whatever is entered goes straight to the operators. Seed phrases and signed approvals give them direct control over funds, and stolen logins let them take over accounts.

Evidence

Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-07: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest share, but these vendors use separate detection pipelines. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, and wallet-security teams run both of those lists. AlienVault OTX links it to four community threat pulses, which means other researchers have tracked it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through TUCOWS.COM, CO. on 2026-04-23, more than five months before PhishDestroy flagged it. A long-dormant registration is a common way to avoid the scrutiny that brand-new domains receive. It was hosted on the Omegatech LTD network (OMEGATECH-AS) at an address in the Netherlands. The site used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser said nothing about whether it was trustworthy.

What to do

If you entered a seed phrase or private key on this site, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet with a fresh phrase immediately. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a reputable approval checker. If you typed a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the domain and its Netherlands hosting address and search logs for past visits since 2026-04-23. Although the site is offline, keep watching for the domain or this hosting to come back with new content.
