PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ashleystewartattire.com is a fake online store. Its domain name borrows from the Ashley Stewart fashion label, but the page presents itself as Janie and Jack, the children's and newborn clothing retailer. It targets parents and gift buyers shopping for kids' clothes. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07, and it was still online and serving its storefront on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page title, "Children's Clothing and Newborn Clothing at Janie and Jack | Janieandjack", copies the real brand's storefront, and shops like this usually pair it with prices well below retail to push quick checkouts. Shoppers enter their name, address and card details and pay. What arrives, if anything, is a cheap knockoff or nothing at all. The payment card details collected at checkout can also be reused for further fraudulent charges.

Evidence

Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-07: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and Netcraft. That is a modest count, but it comes from several independent vendors and reputation feeds rather than a single source. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically marked the page as a fake shop. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-21 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, about seven weeks before it was detected. That is a typical lifespan for throwaway storefronts that are spun up, promoted and abandoned. It resolves to 162.222.90.162 on the Malakmadze Web LLC network, a provider registered in Georgia, while the IP geolocates to the United States. A free Let's Encrypt certificate provides the padlock, so HTTPS here says nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.

What to do

Do not place an order. If you already paid by card, call your bank, ask for a chargeback citing goods not received or misrepresented merchandise, and have the card replaced, since its details are now in the operators' hands. If you paid through PayPal or a similar service, open a dispute right away. Watch for phishing emails or texts that reference your order, and buy Janie and Jack items only through the brand's official channels. Security teams should block the domain and the hosting IP, and can report the site to the impersonated brand and the registrar to speed up takedown.
