app.doegax.com is an impersonation phishing page aimed at cryptocurrency users. Its "app." prefix copies the way real exchanges and decentralized apps label their trading or wallet dashboards, so a visitor arriving from a link assumes they have reached a working platform. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-29. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still registered and live, but its DNS had gone inactive and the page was no longer being served. That pause does not make it safe, because the domain can be pointed back at a server at any time.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages like this copy the look and flow of a trusted crypto service and then intercept whatever the visitor hands over. Depending on the variant, that means account logins and 2FA codes, a seed phrase typed into a fake "restore" or "verify" form, a wallet connection that requests signing permissions, or deposits into a dashboard that only pretends to hold funds. Every path ends the same way: credentials or wallet control pass to the operators, and the assets are moved out quickly and cannot be recovered.
Evidence
On 2026-10-01, 14 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, G-Data, CRDF, alphaMountain.ai and LevelBlue. Several of these are major consumer antivirus vendors, so many users would already see a warning. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and tagged the page as a crypto scam. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category, and it is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-07-01 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com, roughly three months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain set up in advance and activated later for a campaign. The site was hosted in Germany on the FEMO IT SOLUTIONS LIMITED network. It used a free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser said nothing about whether the site was legitimate.
What to do
If you entered a password or 2FA code here, change the password on the real service right away, reset 2FA, and end any active sessions. If you typed a seed phrase, treat that wallet as lost: create a new wallet and move any remaining funds immediately. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke the token approvals granted to unfamiliar contracts. Do not send any "verification" or "release" payments if contacted afterward. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the proxy, add the hosting IP to their watchlists, and check their logs for users who visited it.
