The site used the BusTravel branding and title to appear authentic, but its only purpose was to steal data.

The domain was registered on April 21, 2026, through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com, a registrar often associated with suspicious domains. It resolved to IP 216.150.1.1 and used a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate (R13) to appear secure. VirusTotal flagged it with 15 out of 95 security vendors marking it as malicious, and Google Safe Browsing specifically listed it as phishing. The site has since been taken offline, but it remains on one security blocklist.
