## Stored PhishDestroy analysis

Overview
katophlepro-nl.fyi is an impersonation phishing domain on the PhishDestroy blocklist. The "-nl" in the name points to a Dutch-facing lure built to pass as a legitimate service. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-23. The site was still online and serving content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works
Impersonation sites copy the look and wording of a trusted brand so visitors believe they are on the real service. Victims are then led to type in login details, personal information or payment data, which goes straight to the operators. Right now the page title reads "contact with domain owner | Epik.com", which is a registrar-style landing page. That page title differs from our classification of the domain as an impersonation phishing page.

Evidence
On 2026-10-02, VirusTotal showed 15 of 91 engines flagging the domain. Among them were BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, ADMINUSLabs and the Vietnamese anti-scam group Chong Lua Dao. Detection by that many unrelated vendors makes a false positive unlikely, though most engines have not flagged it yet. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it independently.

Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-03-14 through Epik LLC, roughly six months before PhishDestroy detected it. Domains held this long before use are often meant to look established when the campaign starts. The site runs on Epik LLC's own network in the United States at 209.196.146.115. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do
If you entered a password here, change it now on the real service and on any account that shares it. Turn on two-factor authentication and sign out of all active sessions. If you gave card or bank details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Watch for follow-up messages that use details you submitted. Defenders should block katophlepro-nl.fyi at the DNS and proxy level, search logs for visits from their users, and report the domain to the registrar and hosting provider.
