## Stored PhishDestroy analysis

Overview
ecosystem-pendle.icu was an impersonation phishing page posing as Pendle under the protocol's own tagline, "Pendle - Liberating Yield". It targeted DeFi users who use Pendle to trade and lock in yield. PhishDestroy flagged it on 2026-09-27, the same day the domain was registered. The site went offline on 2026-09-28, and it was still dead with no active DNS on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works
Lookalike Pendle pages copy the real interface and title so the visitor believes they are on the genuine app. The "ecosystem-" prefix suggests an official sub-portal, a common lure for fake reward claims, migrations or airdrops. The victim is pushed to connect a wallet and sign transactions or token approvals, or sometimes to type in a seed phrase. Those approvals and signatures let the operator move the victim's tokens and yield positions out of the wallet.

Evidence
On VirusTotal only Forcepoint ThreatSeeker flagged the domain, 1 of 91 engines on 2026-09-27, so a clean-looking antivirus scan would not have protected anyone. Wallet-focused defenses responded much faster: the domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy. MetaMask users would have been warned before connecting. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which ties it to wider tracked activity.

Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Eranet International Limited on 2026-09-27 and was in use and detected within hours. It stopped resolving the next day. That short life fits a disposable domain bought for one burst of phishing, not a site meant to last. Traffic ran through Cloudflare, Inc. at an address geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. A free Let's Encrypt certificate gave the page the padlock that visitors often mistake for a sign of legitimacy.

What to do
If you connected a wallet to this site, open a token-approval revocation tool and revoke any permissions granted around 2026-09-27, then check your Pendle positions and token balances. If you entered a seed phrase, assume the wallet is compromised. Create a new wallet and move any remaining assets to it at once. Only open Pendle from a saved bookmark, and treat "ecosystem", "claim" or "airdrop" variants of its name as suspect. Defenders should block the domain and watch for new lookalikes that reuse the same Pendle title and naming pattern.
