## FAQ

### How accurate is it?

The stopwatch reads the browser's high-resolution clock, so it stays correct even if the display pauses while the tab is in the background. The countdown subtracts 10 ms per timer tick and can run slow, especially in a background tab, so do not rely on it for exact timing.

### How do laps and the countdown work?

While the stopwatch runs, Lap records the total time (Lap Time) and the time since the previous lap (Split). A running countdown cannot be paused and Reset does not stop it; starting a new countdown replaces it.

### Does it make a sound or send anything?

No. The countdown ends silently with the display turning red, nothing is sent anywhere, and reloading the page clears everything.
