## FAQ

### What does each url entry contain?

The URL as loc, today's date as lastmod, and the change frequency and priority picked in the two menus; every URL gets the same values. Google says it ignores priority and changefreq and trusts lastmod only when it is accurate, so replace the dates with real modification dates.

### Does it validate or escape the URLs?

No. Each line is copied into the loc element unchanged, so an & in a query string has to be written as & for the file to be valid XML. It also does not check that URLs are absolute, on one host, or within the limit of 50,000 URLs per sitemap.

### Are my URLs uploaded?

No. The XML is assembled in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere; save the result as sitemap.xml yourself.
