## FAQ

### How is a numeronym formed?

The first letter, the number of characters between the first and last, then the last letter: accessibility has 13 letters, so it becomes a11y. Words of one or two characters are left as they are.

### How are punctuation and phrases handled?

Input is split on spaces and line breaks and every character counts, so a trailing comma becomes the last character ("hello," gives "h4,"). Join a phrase into one word first if you want a single numeronym for it.

### Is anything uploaded?

No. The words are processed in your browser.
