Search a table of 40 common file extensions and two form encodings with the Content-Type usually sent for them. Useful when an email attachment or a download declares a type that does not match its name.

## Example input

Search for svg

```
svg
```

One row is left: .svg → image/svg+xml. SVG files can carry scripts and links, which is why they turn up as phishing attachments.

## FAQ

### What does the search match?

Any part of the extension or of the MIME type, so zip finds both .zip (application/zip) and .gzip (application/gzip). Two rows, .form and .urlenc, are labels for the form encodings multipart/form-data and application/x-www-form-urlencoded rather than real file extensions.

### Are these the official IANA types?

Mostly. A few rows show a widely used value instead: .js is listed as application/javascript although RFC 9239 made text/javascript the standard, and .yaml as text/yaml while application/yaml is the registered type (RFC 9512). A file's real format is set by its bytes, not by its name or declared type; check that with the File Type Sniffer.

### Is anything sent when I search?

No. The table is part of the page and the filtering happens in your browser.
